This cane was carved in eucalyptus, for a lady from German, by the name of Fuchs, (which means fox in English)  The happy, smiling fox which crowns the cane, is carved from a very hard and slow growing Spanish mountain oak.
(The ears of the happy fox are two branches on the slow growing , small mountain oak, growing out where the stem makes a bend, and using this natural form, offered a minimum of carving.)
