This is a light but very sturdy hiking pole, carved from a young eucalyptus tree, harvested on the west coast of Portugal in the summer of 2009.
The pole is crowned with a natural wood colored stylished religious military order cross on top, and three similar crosses underneath, in the colors red, blue and black.
(The crosses carved on this trecking pole, is a frequent emblem carved on the sticks by this artist, for no other reason than the fact that he has seen the cross on numerous buildings and artifacts from early medieval time. And, besides, who knows?... they might bring you luck and protection on your wanderings?)
Scale, 1:1
Length: 175 cm
